Christa & Jensen's Wedding!! March 19th 2011

Christa & Jensen may have been married on a completely rainy, stormy, windy day yesterday  but you would never be able to tell by looking at this beautiful gorgeous Bride!  By the way before I begin this love story I want to give Amy Herimson a HUGE THANK YOU for referring this amazing couple to me ^_~
So we began at the couples new home... from the looks of it Christa is completely calm... and next to her is her absolutely amazing older sister Amber, AKA: Maid of Honor, and her lovely and all 6 of them adorable... Bridesmaids!  It should be a law that this many pretty girls in one Wedding is illegal! LOL! ^_~  The guys were just as well dressed as the ladies and looking very studly in their kilts, yes I said... kilts!  Amazing details with the Scottish heritage on the Grooms side ~ complete with a bagpipe player at the Ceremony... It was so Awesome!
So here a few photographs for you Christa & Jensen to dream about while I complete your "mini show" : )  If you are a friend or family member and you would like two (2) updates please send an email to me with your name, your email address and the name of the Bride & Groom.  My email istrina@claycombphotography.com  I will send you a message when the couples mini show is ready to view and I will let you know when I post their proofs with the password.  Enjoy!

~Sara's Senior Portraits~

This beautiful young lady is Sara and she will soon be graduating from High School!  I photographed her brother last year and now its her turn to be in the spot light.  My niece Haylie is learning about Photography so she came with me to practice shooting.  We had a lot of fun together in Folsom with Sara... In fact, Sara attracted a lot of attention from the traffic and pedestrians passing by :o)
I had a fabulous time with my new Camera Lens too!  This is the first shoot I was able to use my lens on and it is by far my favorite one now.  Its a Canon 70-200 L series!!  Crisp awesome and precise, take a look...

These next two shots were taken by niece!  Didn't she do an awesome job?!  I love the composition she found on these because second shooting isn't easy when there's only one subject to photograph.  Nice Job Haylie!! ^_~

We were having some fun with this last shot of her laying on a bench... I think this one is my fav :o)
I will be in touch with you guys soon to start on the design of Sara's announcements.
Thank you!!

Our 10th Anniversary Getaway...

My husband and I just celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary!  We have been together for 13 years and have been on quit a few trips together : )  Our favorite place to vacation is in Carmel, California.  This time, since it was a very special occasion, we chose to stay at this wonderful little place called Trade Winds.  Their web-site is beautiful and the place did not disappoint!  I thought you might like to see a little sneak peek into our trip so I am posting a few pics for you to see...
The first few are of the hotel:

During our trip we went on the 17 Mile Drive and had lunch on the Pebble Beach Golf Course, which was an amazing site to see!  In all of the many years I have been going down to that area, I have never been to Pebble Beach and let me tell ya I will never skip going there again!  It was sooooo beautiful...

After spending the day there we went out to dinner at this wonderful Italian Villa in Monterey that we just stumbled on, and then we sipped on coffee and talked about our plans for the rest of our trip : )  It is so wonderful being married to my best friend, not to mention a very good looking man! I could sit across a table from him and stare at him alllllll day...

We spent a day in Monterey shopping and sightseeing and then another day in Carmel... Shopping! And then we went to the Carmel Beach on our last day...  Part of our trips always include some Photography time for me : )  I love landscapes but I dont have much time to travel just for that, so when we vacation the hobby/journalist part of me comes out and again my wonderful-patient husband just enjoys the scenery with me, carries my heavy camera gear and even stops for Starbucks for me!  I Love you babe!

Take a look at these amazing waves!!

All of the landscapes you see here and more are for sale and these new ones will soon be posted in my Etsy store at: http://www.wallsloveart.etsy.com/
