A.R.K. WEDNESDAY!!

It's A.R.K. Wednesday and the California State Fair is on the minds of a lot of people in the Sacramento areas since it is right in our backyard.  So, this deal is mainly for the locals or anyone visiting the area.  The State Fair is offering FREE tickets to the unemployed on July 27th and on Tuesday's kids under 12 get in for FREE!  Here is the information I found on the offer.  Please forward this info on to anyone you know that has children or someone you know that is unemployed, "Pass It On" they will thank you! :o)

ARTICLE: "The California State Fair, already responding to difficult economic times by lowering the price of most food concessions by 25 percent, now offers free admission on July 27 to anyone who can show the stub from their unemployment check at the box office."

The free ticket is good on the day of issue only.

"The California State Fair is doing its part to ensure that priceless memories are affordable for people who may not otherwise be able to enjoy those special moments," general manager Norb Bartosik said in a news release.

Tuesday is Kids Day, when youngsters 12 and under are admitted free, and all carnival rides are $1 for everyone.

The State Fair continues through Aug. 1 at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento.
Parking at the fairgrounds is $10.

Kaylee's 6 month old Session

This is Kaylee and her big brother Justin.  He is a graduate of our Baby Portrait Collection Program and she is currently a member of the program.  Watching them grow up has been a lot of fun for me because I have known this family for many years, even before the weddings and the kids!
This session was for Kaylee's 6 month old portraits and Justin is always welcome to show off his cuteness for the camera too :o)  So, we started off in the family backyard with Justin and his baseball bat.  Dad is a HUGE sports guy, as well as many other members of their family, so we often incorporate sports into the sessions, from props to t-shirts and hats.  The number 22 on his shirt is also very special to the family as it was their Grandpa's number...
Take a look at Justin's action shots!

Kaylee was ready to go with her beautiful smiles :o)  Check out this cutie pie!

Kaylee's mom has been holding on this wings and the tutu since she was born, waiting for her to fit into it someday.  Finally today was the day!  It was still a little big but we made it work.  She was a bit tired though at this point but I didn't mind, tired poses often turn into the best shots.  As a matter of fact I ended up using the last pose as the test image for a new painting technique I offer now.  Take a look...

This is the original image of Kaylee...

And this is Kaylee painted...  What do you think?!
(If you are interested in a painting of one of your images, let me know)

These last couple poses are of the two of them together in a football beanbag with several of Dad's "real" bats for a fun sporty look...

Hey it's A.R.K. Wednesday and we are back on track!  Sorry I have been out of town and my niece was visiting us from San Diego so things were BUSY at our house :o)  I love summer simply because my kids are home and we spend a lot of time with family.  Now, if I could just figure out how to get rid of the summer heat, I would in heaven!  When the weather reaches perfection for me is in the Fall when the kids are back in school so that was my mission this week, back-to-school coupons.  If you are like me, I have to buy things here and there all summer so I can afford all the things my kids need for school.  So here are some sweet deals if you have kids and even if you don't ;o)  HAPPY SHOPPING!  And please don't forget to "PASS IT ON"!  Print an extra coupon or two for a stranger in the store or next to you in line at the store you go into.  You will make their day and brighten yours, all that the same time :o)

Traub Family Portraits

This is the Traub Family and the little girl in the middle is a Graduate from our Bebe' Collection Series program, as she turned one year old :o)  Sorry this blog will be short, I am on vacation in New York and I am surrounded by giggling kids and family.  Not the easiest work invro, if you know what I mean!  LOL, hahaa.  So take a look at this adorable family and I hope you enjoy the photographs as much as  I do! :o)
These last few are my favs because they are classic one year old shots, walking away from the posed shots you want.  But she had no idea that I love capture these true moments!  We had fun watching her and capturing the moments of real life than were trying to keep her in one spot, good times!!  And this last photograph is awesome as she tells us "Shhhhh, don't tell anyone that I just hugged my mom and dad and stayed still for a few minutes, it will ruin my reputation!"  Gotta love the toddlers!  Thank you so much for having me document such an important piece of your life and yes someday you look back and just laugh...
