Amber's Senior Portraits

I have to start off by saying that I feel so privileged to have met so many wonderful young -almost adults- graduating this year. We meet a lot of people through out the year and as we continue getting to know our loyal families who we see many times a year and our new clients, we realize how blessed we are to have "job" we absolutely love. This young graduate here was another one of the wonderful young ladies we have photographed this year. In the couple hours we spent together I could already see that she has the sweetest personality. We had so much fun working together, capturing her in her own unique way. I had a hard time picking out my favorites but here are just a few of them and let me tell you, she literally was stopping traffic along the road and almost caused an accident as drivers passing by watched us! Good times!!
Amber brought her friend along with her and she was very good at making her laugh for some natural smiles- Love it!
I have two top favorites and this is one of them. Amber said she really wanted me to capture the color of her eyes and so I did some really close shots of her face. Love the color of those honey brown eyes :o)
She wanted to get a couple photographs with her best friend so she jumped in with Amber and I just kept on clicking as they posed for me.
We saw these poppy's on the side of the trail and she wished she could pick one, so we did the next best thing and took her picture next to the flowers so she could enjoy them in a photo instead. As they say "take a picture, it lasts longer"!
And, now the end of our session together. Again some of my favorite shots of Amber. She is just so natural and being beautiful I am sure helped too, not to mention a good photographer behind the camera-hahaha!
This one is my second favorite...
I will leave you with this last pose-Our goal is to capture the personality of our clients and by the end of our session, she was moving on to her goofy side. If you like this you should see the rest of the faces she made! You are too funny Amber! Thanks for making me laugh so much, I had a great time with you guys ;o)> Thanks again Amber for having us do your Senior Portraits. We will be in touch with you soon to show you the final photographs - looking forward to seeing you again.

Baby Lily- 5 months old

Every year my sons school does a huge Crab Feed Fundraiser. This is our second year donating packages for the silent auction to help them raise money for the school. One of the packages we donated was our "Baby's First Year" Collection Series, where we come to the comfort of your home or any location within the Sacramento area, for the baby's first year of life (or longer)- starting at any age from newborn to 6 months. We do at least 3 sessions over the year and throw in a free family session too! Then at the end of the year the baby's family gets a portrait gift from us! It is a really neat program and the perfect way to start documenting your baby's life. The program will be featured on our blog in the very near future.

So, that brings us to....Lily. Her parents won the silent auction for the "Baby's First Year Collection Series" and so our story begins! This little girl was so, so stinking cute :o) Her personality was adorable and the faces she made were cracking us up. She can completely entertain herself and I could not stop clicking. I was amazed with her and totally adored her after just spending a couple hours at their home! She is very cute. Check out the sneak peek into her session...
She was in love with her toes and at one point in time she was totally bent in half eating her feet! Again, I loved watching her, she was so funny.
The beautiful window light coming into the front room was the perfect spot to capture her personality. I love these serious, almost in thought portraits, as she starred out the window at her dogs.
I fell in love with this little rocking chair. She sat so perfectly there for us...well not really, but it looks like it doesn't it!! She did sit very nicely, until she wanted to eat her toes or the chair or the all famous puffy snacks, as we call them. She was a very good sport though as her mom sat her back in the chair and fed her in between my clicks! Isn't she so precious...(you can spot a mom who only has boys a mile away, can't you?!) -BTW, sorry Dad, I LOVE the bow ;o)

Thank you so much for having me come to your home to photograph your adorable little Lily and welcome to our "Portrait Family"! We will be in touch with you soon.

Thank you so much Cokley family for having us update your family portraits. We are glad to have you in our "Portrait Family". We will be in touch with you soon to schedule your viewing of the final portraits.

Larissa's Senior Portraits

Monday was a very busy day for us but so much fun. We started off with meeting Larissa, her mom and her little sister. This family is so sweet, as I have told them several times I am sure by now! I really appreciate working with a family that has respect for one another. Larissa is such a pretty girl, easy to photograph and we got some of the best portraits for her. Take a look...
This shirt was Mom's pick for Larissa and it turned out to be totally perfect for this wall. The red shoes just pulled it all together, kudos Mom!
Larissa is also a very talented singer. When we first met she promised me that she would sing for me during her session and we thought it would be a great idea to get a mic and a stand for her to model with. I reminded her of her promise and boy can this girl sing! We are HUGE American Idol fans in our house and I would have to say that she could make the top 10 -easy. I LOVE her voice and I hope to hear her sing again sometime. We had so much fun with these shots here in her beautiful gown and her willingness to do whatever I asked her too.
Thank you so much for having me document such an important time in your lives. I REALLY enjoyed spending time with you guys, it was so much fun and one session I will always remember. Thank you- We will be in touch with you soon!
