Kruse's & Davila's - San Diego

Here are the friends we call our family in San Diego. Both of these families lived near us back in our home town in Illinois before I was even born! Hate to give it away but they are just a couple years older then me : ) I love them all like family and my family love-love-loves them and I must admit they are all on my list of favorite people. We have lots of fond memories and the Kruse's (the first couple below) have welcomed us into their home many times over the years and so have the Davila's (the family with the young girl). There is no place on earth we would rather be. So taking their family portraits was such an honor to me! I hope all of you love these photos, we had so much fun at Presido Park! What a view!

You all look beautiful! Thank you again and again for having us take your portraits. We miss all of you terribly and love you very much. XOXO

Martinez Family

This is the Martinez Family with their new baby girl Mercedes and adorable little boy Gus! Our "family" in San Diego gave them a gift certificate for their baby's photos, so we went to San Diego and photographed them and our other family and friends in San Diego too.
Even though we have returned home our hearts are still in San Diego and always remain there. We love it so much. One day our dream of living there might come true. Although it's not likely since we own two Sacramento based businesses, but we can always dream and visit often!
Anyway- The Martinez family have a beautiful yard and it made the most beautiful backdrop for their family photos. We started off inside with the kids and made our way out to their picturesque yard...
We had so much fun with Gus. As you can see by the smiles we did not have a hard time getting him to laugh after we learned that he likes Madagascar! All you have to say to him is - "crack-a-lackin" and he lights up! He had all of us laughing. : )
A few shots with baby sister and few of her little feet, after mom got her out of her pretty dress.
Cute kids! Thank you so much for having us over to photograph your family, we really enjoyed our time with you guys. Thank you Jen and Ricky for giving Diana the gift certificate and having us come to SD to be with you (your sneak peek is on it's way too!) and thank you so much to Betsy for standing in as my assistant for the morning-you were awesome! (Your family sneak peek is on it's way too!) LOL - I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

Justin turns one and looking back on the year...

It is so amazing how fast babies grow. Justin Fischer is now One year old and walking! I thought it would be fun to post a few of his best looks over the year and do a little tribute to him in this blog along with the sneak peek of his one year old photos. I wish sometimes I wasn't so emotional but because I have been privileged with photographing Justin since he was born it just brings tears to my eyes to look back at his sessions. He is an amazing little boy with an amazing family and I am so thrilled to have been there to capture him growing, sitting up, standing and now walking... It is just too cool! Here's to Justin and turning One!
ONE MONTH OLD...
THREE MONTHS...
SIX MONTHS...NINE MONTHS...
And now Justin's One year old photos. We decided to do something a little different and we met at the mall. Since Justin is very mobile we walked around the mall getting him in action and we even put him in a store window! Take a look...
Take a close look at the sign in the window! We ventured outside for a minute and let him walk around on the grass. It's so cute how he holds his arms up in the air as he walks!
This smile was for the cookie that Grandma is holding out for him, we got the best photos here on the bench with the beautiful flowers behind him. He is so cute!
I hope you enjoyed looking back over the last year and thank you so much John and Krista for having me document his first year, I have really enjoyed watching him grow and look foward to watching him grow up for years to come.
