Welcome to my Blog!

Thank you for coming to my site and viewing my blog. This is where I display a Sneak Peek for my clients to get a look at some of their images taken during their Photo Session. This is a wonderful way to get an idea of what I do for my clients and for them to share their experience with their friends and family! Thank you to all of our past and current clients, I am so grateful to be a part of documenting your lives. "Your Portraits.... Our Passion. Together We Create the Perfect Portraits!"

Kaiser BODY in BALANCE -Woman's Health Conference

Over the weekend we had the privilege of being invited to set up as a vendor at the Body in Balance 2008 Woman's Health Conference at the Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center. A special thank you to Bonnie who helped organize this event and for inviting us. We arrived at 7am with our Starbuck's in hand and set up our booth right next to the main tent where Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York would deliver the keynote address sharing her life experiences to help others learn from her challenges and how she worked through them. What an amazing woman! As I said before we were in the perfect spot next to the main tent and because of where we were the hot Saturday sun was above us most of the day and kept us as cool as possible! Check out our display, you may recognize someone you know that we have photographed...

Click on this photo to enlarge it We we surrounded by some wonderful vendors as well. To our right was two very sweet women with their booth display on baby signs. You can visit them on their web-site at http://www.babysigns.com/To our left was another couple of wonderful ladies with a Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. They were selling the pink ribbon pins, bracelets, bears and many other cute items. I am a Boyd Bear collector so when I see an adorable little stuffed bear or animal I fall in love. I had to get the little bear holding the LOVE pillow with the pink ribbon on her foot. My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor so we also got her a bracelet from them which had words of encouragement etched into the silver. You may recognize Desire' from my newsletter or if she was at your photo session. She is an awesome person and always there for me. I have been blessed with many good friends in my life and she is one of them. She is always willing to help me out at my events like this and is there for all of my large photography parties and weddings as well. Not to mention we love to hang out and work together. It makes it much more enjoyable when you have a friend working by your side : o) Love ya Des! We always catch each other doing crazy things during our sessions together and events like this too! Kaiser handed out these fans for us because it was going to be 100 that day so Desi was messing around while I was taking photos of our booth and I caught her all crazy-eyed with the fan! hahahaha! The prize wheel is always a big hit at our events! When people come by all they do is sign up to win a $300 photo shoot and spin the wheel to win free prints valued anywhere from $50-$100!! We met over 250 people and we can't wait to start on their personal photo sessions! Lots of people won gift certificates so don't forget to use them or give them away to a friend or family member if you are unable to use them. The winner of the $300 Photo Session will be announced this weekend!
Here is one last photo of part of my team. Desire' (aka: Desi) and my two nieces Cheyenne and Madison. My most important "team member" is my WONDERFUL (and very cute!) husband Colin who took this shot of us. Without his help, love and support Claycomb Photography would be nothing. He is truly amazing, helping me in every way possible so that I am able to do what I do and we also work together with both of our businesses and we have two boys that keep us on our toes!
Thank you so much for all of your help girls and my love-Colin :o) We had a lot of fun together. Thank you also to Peets coffee who was there giving everyone free coffee and coupons for free drinks! Even though I am a Starbuck's fan I also love Peet's. I basically just LOVE coffee period! We also enjoyed the wonderful food vendors out there and Thank you again to Kaiser for inviting us to be part of this special event!
