John & Krista Engagement Session

For those of you who read my blog - these two are the parents of cutie pie Justin. Krista is the daughter of my long-time friend Shelli who "saved my life" 8 years ago by introducing me to the home-show business with Pampered Chef. Weddings are not something I advertise for but I will do them for referrals and friends on occasion. This is one of those times - so I met this ADORABLE couple Friday evening to get their engagement pictures for the wedding ceremony.

John and Krista are a really fun couple. It is so enjoyable to photograph people you are comfortable with and it is even more important when choosing your wedding photographer that you connect with them and feel relaxed around each other, after all your photographer will be following you around the entire day of your wedding! The store behind them says " As Time Goes By", I thought it would be appropriate for the occasion : )

This is my FAVORITE shot of them, although it was hard to find a bad one! This wall is so cool and even though John was all for the five minute session he was having fun now with our walk downtown. You can see it in his smile and the love in his eyes when he looks at Krista - how sweet!

No session is complete for me until we get to the water. We took a stroll (ha ha-more like a hike-right guys!) to the the edge of the river to get these next shots of the two love birds. As I tried to plan, the sun was perfect.

Thank you John and Krista for asking me to be your Wedding Photographer, I feel honored. We will have lots of fun together. John said something he liked about me was that I get in and out of there and get the job done (it's a guy thing), I will do my best John but this is the only day you will be getting married so we have to spend a little more time with you than normal!!
