Megan and I talked only a couple of weeks ago about having her High School Senior Portraits done for this year-2008! I agreed to help her out because I truly love what I do and hate to see people get ripped off by these insane studios with their over priced print options. So even though May has been a bit crazy for me with portrait sessions and a wedding and moving, Megan sounded so sweet on the phone, that I couldn't resist squeezing in another photo session. My wonderful husband, to my amazement, gave me the green light to add her to my schedule. As usual I'm getting a little off track with my story... so anyway, we met at the Capitol, a great place for Senior Portraits, and got started on creating some very awesome portraits of Megan. She sat on the famous checkered floor, we walked to the rose garden, she hugged some trees and I took hundreds of photographs, she felt like a model and looked like one too! We had tons of fun and Megan was totally in love with herself after seeing the previews from my camera. I think Megan and her mom left very excited to see the end results! Well as they say, "Better late than never"- right Megan!
Here are three of my top favorites and a movie preview of some of your gorgeous-self to peak at! Did your head fit back into the car? Ha ha! ; ) Just click on the play button to watch the slide show.
Thank you so much for asking me to create your Senior Portraits with you Megan, I had a blast! I can't wait to show you all of the awesome images I have already started to play around with - You are going to LOVE them. Talk to you soon and don't forget referrals mean free prints for you, tell everyone you know! Thanks again! : )

What a wonderful evening planned for Dean Tipps, full of friends and family to celebrate his retirement. The evening started outside the dining rooms with appetizers, drinks and lots of laughter as the guests arrived and started to mingle. The dinning room came alive as they added the finishing touches to the tables and DJ-Raymond Lauderdale of Perfect Sounds started the mood for the night with Jazz music. The guest of Honor, Dean Tipps and his family, were dressed to the nine, as we later found out for Dean to be in a tie was quit a big thing! I hope you all enjoy the video clip of the evening, click on the play button to watch. Thank you so much SEIU and all the staff members, especially Helen Ross and Tracy Zeluff for having us come document your incredibly special evening we feel honored to have been invited. (PS: I am sorry for the spelling of Dean Tipps name inside the video, it was misspelled on the entrance sign of the hotel.)

IT WAS A SUCCESS!! Thank you first of all to PURELY PASTA for whom without, the contest would never be as successful as it is. I love you Mary and Linda (the owners) for your giving spirit and for your continued support of my passion! I also have to thank my long-long time friend (we've known each other for 30 years) JORDAN ZINK of Jordan's Photographic Design for letting me borrow his $1,000 lens, as the night before the contest my favorite lens broke and I was in deep trouble for the contest! He so graciously loaned me his lens and I am so very grateful to him for that! The lens was awesome, a little heavier than mine but the session photos came out spectacular! THANK YOU JORDAN!! : ) Saturday started off our contest with 28 contestants! My staff and I all agreed that the children were all so adorable, we are so glad that we don't have to choose the winner! Here is a sneak peek of the first few contestants. If you do not see your child yet, they will be coming to my blog soon - I promise! Check back to my blog often this week and you will see your child in the order they were photographed. Thank you to everyone who came and entered their children and a HUGE THANK YOU to my STAFF AND FRIENDS - Desire', Tammy, My Husband Colin : ), Madison and Sienna for without all of you this could not have happened at all -I love you all very much.
