Nichols Family Portraits

This is the Nichols family. Desire' and I headed down to the Capitol to meet them for some casual outdoor portraits. Mom and Dad have three boys and the two older brothers are both engaged to be married. The middle son actually got married the day after their session with us! They chose the Capitol because of the beautiful backgrounds, blooming trees and flowers. It turned out to be a very good choice! It was the perfect day with blue skies and lots of green trees. The first few portraits actually turned out to be my personal favorites.

As we walked around the Capitol to find different backgrounds we came across this beautiful tree with the perfect white flowers blooming all over and of course I couldn't resist getting some portraits of everyone under the tree. It was very "Spring-y"!

Here the brides-to-be are giving their soon-to-be Father in-law a kiss on the cheek. Isn't it sweet?!
We pretty much walked around the entire Capitol to make sure we were able to capture a few different background looks and pose choices for the family. I really like these next few portraits. One thing that makes the Capitol so unique is the different elements of steps, and stone looking structures, along with trees and blooming flowers all around the building. You really can get a lot of variety at this location.

Here we had to dodge a few bus loads of kids on field trips as they walked by on the path behind the family. We managed to get everyone laughing and ended the session just in time for a huge group of probably near 100 or so kids to start walking on the pathway behind them.

Overall it was a really fun session. We always love to meet people that are fun and nice to be with. The Nichols were just that. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of documenting your family history. We hope that the Wedding went beautifully for all of you and Congratulations to John and Crystal on your marriage!
