Justin's 3 month photos

Justin is such a cutie pie with his little mo-hawk hair and his adorable pouty lip. Today was about getting his 3 month stage photos and we got some really cute shots of him. What is it about cute little babies that make us say "cute" and "little" to everything?! I can't help it, I just love babies! Here are my favorite images from Justin's Photo Shoot...

It is so fun to watch babies grow. Isn't it amazing how much they can change over a few months time?! Thank you for giving me the privilege of capturing Justin's personality as he continues to grow. Hope you guys do well in the baby contest!

Chavez Twins Senior Portraits

Saturday afternoon my sister and I set out to meet the Chavez family in Downtown Sacramento to photograph Tino, the "first" born twin and Andrew, the "second" born twin. Obviously not identical but handsome graduating high school seniors! Funny story about Tino, just by chance he happens to be my 8 year old sons pen-pal for their English classes. It is a small world sometimes. Anyway, these two I think at first were a little worried about how this "picture thing" was going to go but they very quickly realized that I can adapt to anyones style and here I had to get down with the homeboys : ) Look at these smiles! Like I say, whatever makes them smile...
Like most guys they really like the serious-tough look so we did a lot of both to make everyone happy but in the end I was after the "mom smiles" as I call them and it worked for these two!

It is always important to me during a photo shoot to get different looks for the family to choose from. So we took a walk around the area and the boys changed into a couple different shirts as well. We had fun in the trees until the sleeping security guard came out and said we were in a construction area and had to move along. (but I was able to get a few photographs in first!)

Before we were done for the afternoon we decided to loosen up Tino's look as Andrew went to change into his ROTC uniform. Tino plays baseball so we did some shots of him with his hat on. This is one of my favorites because he looks so relaxed.

Andrew arrived a couple minutes later in full uniform causing quit a commotion from people walking by. He will be joining the Air Force this summer.

One last portrait of the two boys together before we finished up and I still managed to get one last laugh out of them!

The entire family was such a joy to be with. They have another set of twins and they all have brilliant smiles that are contagious. Thank you Chavez family for allowing me to be part of documenting this important stage in your lives. Now you will have portraits to look at for years to come and remember this stage of the boys lives as they grow into adults. Thank you Michele Roman for the refferal of the Chavez family as well - I love refferals!!

Meet Carter

This adorable little boy is Carter. We met at my Baby & Child Photo Contest (coming again May 3rd and 4th!) and he was one of our ten finalists! Not hard to see why with those big baby blues. I met the family in downtown Folsom this afternoon and we got some awesome shots of him for his two year old portraits.

We walked all over finding new interesting places to get the perfect portraits. We headed over to a place that has an old train you can climb all over. I think that was probably Carters favorite spot!

I always love rock walls. You can make totally unique and fun portraits with any type of rock structure. He is such a model and a sure one to try and beat again at this years contest!

Like most two year olds, he had so many different cute looks, it was hard to choose my favorite one!

Blowing kisses to Daddy : ) Too Cute! And finally some shots of his blue eyes and the blue wall and a family photograph is always a must!
Totally cute family don't you think! I had so much fun with Carter and his parents, as I always do when I am on a photo shoot but I especially love capturing kids in their element and he was a lot of fun to photograph. Thanks to the McLaughlin Family for allowing me to be a part of capturing such an important stage of your little one's life.
