Okonski Family Portraits

This afternoon was perfect for portraits with the cloud cover, although it was a little chilly. I met Lindsay, Adam and 4 month old Gabriel at the back side of Rusch park in Citrus Heights and I must say I love that park for portraits! We had a neat bridge, lots of trees and green grass and a few interesting benches to sit on as well. Lindsay and I have done portraits together before, (thanks to my sister Sally for the referral!) but this was the first time I met her husband Adam. They are the sweetest couple and Lindsay I must say from the couple hours we were together Adam seems like a really good Dad!

We got our family portrait session started at the park and then decided to do the baby portraits at the family's home since it was too cold for the baby outside. What a great family! Hope you guys enjoy the few images here until we meet for your full viewing!

YOUELL TWINS - Senior Portraits

November in my opinion is the perfect time for portraits. I love the colors of fall and I have found the perfect spot for photographs. It is a little bit of drive (45 minutes or so) but it is worth the time it takes to get there! You get all the benefits of nature with the added features of brick staircases, old buildings and water fountains all in one place.

Desire' and I headed out on Sunday to meet the graduating twins, Nicole and Kristen and their mom Vicki. We were very excited about this photo session because we both love this park and we knew these girls would be fun. Nicole and Kristen brought several outfits, make-up and hair brushes (very smart). We jumped right in to the session after they decided what outfits to wear first.

The girls warmed up to us really quickly. They were willing to trust me as far as posing so we got a lot of great shots and I was able to make some very unique portraits for them. There are so many places within this park to shoot, so we got many different looks for them to choose from.
We had so many amazing shots but I will leave you with my two favorites. The lighting and background of these two pictures is one of the many reasons why I love this park.

Thank you Vicki for choosing us to photograph your daughters for their Senior Portraits! We had a great time with you guys!

Apple Hill

My family and I went up to Apple Hill last weekend - Carmel Apples and Fudge Factory here we come!! We love our yearly trip to Apple Hill and this year Mema (grandma) went with us, along with my assistant Desire' and her husband Tim. I have been dying to get family pictures taken of my family and since I am the one who is always behind the lens we have not had family portraits done since I was pregnant with my second son. So I thought it would be fun to let Desi try out her skills and do some portraits at High Hill ranch. She did a really good job! I am excited to see her progress as she is hoping to break out on her own in the photography profession. Desire definitely has "the eye".

I also got some great shots of my boys with their Mema and a few of Desi. She is so fun to photograph with her cute haircut and her edgy style. My oldest son, Rane went with his Mema to get his face painted just before the sprinkling started. We got our Pumpkin Fudge and ate some lunch, but before we could head home Mema had to find her Apple Turn Over and I had to get my Starbuck's! My favorite drink right now is the Peppermint Mocha - Yummy!

I hope you have enjoyed reading my first blog entry. There will be more to come with upcoming photo sessions and events. I would love to hear any comments you may have. Please let me know what is on your mind!
